Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak recently announced that the casino and hotels in the 17 counties will be reopened, increasing their capacity by up to 80% as accepted by the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB), as well as the inauguration of the Resorts World Las Vegas scheduled for July 24th. This new order includes Clark County in southern Nevada, which means the Las Vegas Valley, downtown Las Vegas, and Laughlin. Once 60% of the population is vaccinated, they will even open up to 100% of their capacity.
"After extensive discussions with state health officials, and with the goal of reopening to 100 percent capacity in Nevada by June 1th, we will remove the required state social distancing mandate effective May 1th," he said. Sisolak.
"It is important to me that we protect our residents, protect our workers and also reopen our economy," according to Sisolak. “I need to get conventions, I need events to go back to the city, to this state. I need people to go back to work as a result of that. And I think these reopens will make it much more realistic and much faster.
