Frenchman Yoann Kaminisky made history by winning the 2025 Grand Finale of the Winamax Poker Tour held in Aix-en-Provence, marking the first time the event took place outside of Paris. The tournament smashed previous records with 3,503 entries in the €500 Main Event, fed by 357,000 online qualifiers and 9,505 freeroll entries.

The 28-year-old auto body repairman joined on Day 1A, busting once before running deep on his second bullet. Kaminisky’s emotional rollercoaster peaked when he defeated freeroll qualifier Patrice Espinasse heads-up, earning €175,000 and the symbolic champion’s sword. Espinasse turned €0 into €127,500 — a story of its own.
