Jordi Ribatallada Wins the WSOP Circuit Main Event in Amsterdam
What started as a casual visit to friends in Amsterdam turned into a career-defining moment for Catalan poker player Jordi Ribatallada. He emerged victorious in the 2025 WSOP Circuit Amsterdam Main Event, taking home the champion’s ring, a €130,590 prize, and an exclusive ticket to a $1,000,000 guaranteed freeroll in Los Angeles, just ahead of the WSOP in Las Vegas.
From Spontaneous Entry to Major Victory
The Main Event had a €1,700 buy-in and attracted 1,505 entries, creating a prize pool close to €2 million. Jordi didn’t even plan to play, but his last-minute decision paid off massively.
After advancing through Day 1 and securing a min-cash on Day 2, Jordi reached Day 3 in 5th place with 4.8 million chips, ready to battle it out at a stacked final table.
Three-Way Deal and a Full House for the Win
When play reached the final three-handed stage, Ribatallada, Max Broens, and Menno de Velde struck a deal for €120,000 each, leaving €10,590 and the ring for the ultimate winner. Jordi clinched the title by defeating Broens with a full house, earning one of the most exciting WSOP-C victories of the year.
