BSOP Makes History in Las Vegas
For the second consecutive year, the Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) was nominated at the Global Poker Awards, often referred to as the “Oscars of Poker.” Unlike in 2024, this year the BSOP claimed victory in the Best Circuit/Mid Major Series category, recognizing the top mid-buy-in circuits worldwide.
🥇 A Win for Latin America
Held in Las Vegas, the event was attended by BSOP General Co-Director Devanir Campos and Operations Director Lara Bruno. In his acceptance speech, Campos stated:
“It’s an incredible honor. Thank you to PokerGO and the Global Poker Awards for this event. Coming from a country where poker isn’t endemic, we’ve worked for 20 years to popularize it and show it’s a game of skill”.
Campos also thanked the dedicated BSOP team: Roberto, Ruany, Marçal, Ito, Anderson, Camila, and Caio, highlighting their essential role in delivering an unforgettable experience for thousands of players.
Why Did BSOP Win?
- 20 Years of Excellence: From humble beginnings, BSOP has grown into the largest circuit in Latin America.
- International Recognition: It surpassed renowned competitors like RunGood Series, WPT Prime, and WSOP Circuit.
- PokerStars Partnership: Its long-standing collaboration with PokerStars Brazil has helped attract players from around the globe.
Poker World Reactions
- Rafael Moraes, BSOP co-CEO and PokerStars ambassador, shared his excitement on social media:
“I’m so happy! BSOP has won the Oscar for the world’s best Mid/Major event. Thanks to the entire team for making this possible!”.
